HORSE/PONY LOAN SCHEME
The horse /pony loan scheme entitles you to come along when you want and have a chance to own your own horse/pony without the overall responsibility. Do not feel it is essential to come everyday – once or twice a week is okay. On the other hand you are more than welcome to come as often as you like.
As well as being able to enjoy 1 to 2 hour hacks through exceptionally quiet scenic routes the scheme also encourages you to experience the stable management side of things, including tasks such as cleaning tack, mucking out, grooming and catching your own horse/pony from the field. Each individual horse/pony has their own tack; rugs head collar and grooming kits provided.
Please remember that although taken on as a loan scheme the horse and ponies are still required for use by the Trekking centre and will therefore be used by other riders when necessary. Peak times are at weekends and school holidays. The quieter times are during the day, evenings and after school during the week. It is advisable to check before you come.
In agreeing to this scheme you must commit to the loan option you have chosen. Payments must be paid in monthly installments (cost of shoes is extra).
Lessons and any special events which are on, such as shows, fun days, all day and half day rides and other events are NOT included in the loan. These will have to be paid for separately. The scheme offers the horse some individual attention and you are guaranteed a healthy stress free sport and a great way of meeting new friends!
